Assisted living facilities—Nationally, the monthly median rate for a private one-bedroom unit in an assisted living facility is about $3,750 (implying an average annual cost of $45.000). These rates exclude one-time community or entrance fees. A significant number of assisted living facilities charge a one-time fee, commonly referred to as a community fee or entrance fee, ranging from $25 or $50 to thousands of dollars.
